This Is Why Our Lunch Club Matters So Much
As many of you know, our funding from Hillingdon Council has sadly been withdrawn.
Last week, one of our lovely members shared something that truly touched us. When asked how she was doing, she smiled and said she was feeling much better—thanks to everyone here at the club.
She told us she’d been feeling low lately and had stopped leaving her home. We noticed she hadn’t been around and gave her a quick call just to check in. She said that if we hadn’t reached out, she probably wouldn’t have come back.
But she did come back—and she’s so glad she did. And so are we.
We are more than just a lunch club. For many of our members, it's a warm meal, a kind word, a friendly face, and a vital lifeline.
Clubs like ours are essential to the wellbeing of older people in our community.
